5th District Congresswoman Virginia Foxx has been recognized by the group U.S. English for her “dedication to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States.”
A release from Foxx’s office says the “A in English” award recognizes
her support of official English legislation. Legislation that factored
into the award included co-sponsorship of the English Language Unity Act
and a series of Congressional votes on reducing multilingualism in
government and allowing employers the flexibility to enact
English-in-the-Workplace policies.
