NFIB Endorses Congresswoman Virginia Foxx

Virginia Foxx for Congress is pleased to announce that Congresswoman Virginia Foxx has received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for her re-election bid to the U.S. House of Representatives. The endorsement is a significant one because of NFIB is North Carolinas and the nations leading small business association. NFIB is an organization that represents the entrepreneurs and small, family-owned businesses and the men and women who have invested their lifes savings in working for themselves.

\"The Tar Heel state\'s small business owners are fortunate to have such strong representation championing their issues in the U.S. House,\" said Lisa Goeas, NFIB\'s vice president, political. \"Congresswoman Virginia Foxx is standing up for small business and has consistently voted for lower taxes, affordable and accessible healthcare and fewer burdensome government regulations. We offer our strong support and look forward to working with her on small business issues in the 111th Congress.\"

Congresswoman Foxx stated that, As a former small business owner, I have a deep understanding of the issues facing members of the NFIB, and I will use that insight to guide my votes on legislation that is vital to their economic well-being. We must never forget that small business owners and the values they possess are one of the cornerstones of our countrys success and I am proud to continue my support of them.

Congresswoman Foxxs endorsement comes from the NFIB Safe (Save Americas Free Enterprise) Trust, which is the organizations political action committee. The committee bases its endorsement on a candidates positions and voting record on small business issues. NFIBs endorsement is significant since NFIB polling has found that 43 percent of registered voters are small business owners or employed by small businesses. Congresswoman Foxx is also a past recipient of the NFIBs Guardian of Small Business Award.
