Virginia Foxx Wins Republican Primary

Clemmons, NC - Congresswoman Virginia Foxx won the Republican primary for North Carolina's 5th Congressional District tonight. Congresswoman Foxx now advances to face the Democrat challenger in the general election in November.

Congresswoman Foxx released the following statement after the results of the election were no longer in doubt:

Foxx files for re-election

Boone, NC - U.S. Representative Virginia Foxx today filed for re-election at the Watauga County Board of Elections. She will be running for re-election in North Carolina's Fifth Congressional District, which she has represented in Congress since 2005.
